The impressive Purling Brook Falls in Springbrook National Park lured walkers onto slippery hazardous cliff edges to view the waterfall. In response QPWS installed a suspension bridge to view the waterfall and closed hazardous access tracks.
TTMS role was to plan and install a new walking track to both approaches to the selected site for the suspension bridge. This was a challenging site to access on steep cross slopes with very dense Lantana growth. To safely and accurately position rock for new steps and retaining walls a skyline from the top viewing platform was used to ferry materials down into the gorge.
