Lamington National Park part of the Gondwana Rainforest WHA with hidden gorges had numerous walking tracks closed due to cyclone damage.
Over the two year period Track & Trail worked to reopen trails on both the Green Mountain and Binna Burra portions of the park. Tracks repaired included the West Canungra Circuit, Box Forest Circuit, Coomera Circuit and the Lower Bellbird Circuit, all of these tracks are located in impressive sub-tropical rain forest in steep gorge country. Amongst the extensive repair works undertaken was the construction of twelve major river crossings using large stepping stones and the repair of a major landslip along with several smaller landslips.
